Je reist de hele wereld over. Wat heeft de meeste indruk op je gemaakt? 'Ik denk mijn reis naar India met het Concertgebouw Kamerorkest. Je komt daar echt in een compleet andere wereld, met een ontzettende kloof tussen arm en rijk. We moesten optreden op een chique gala voor een bank die zoveel jaar bestond. Maar het mooiste was dat we ook een concert gaven voor een grote groep kansarme kinderen. Ze hadden nog nooit klassieke muziek gehoord en waren zo onder de indruk en enthousiast. Na afloop werden we bestormd als popsterren en moesten we handtekeningen uitdelen. Die kinderen waren zo dankbaar, dat vergeet ik nooit meer.' (Translation) You travel all over the world. What has made the most impression on you? "I think my tour in India with the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra. It was really a totally different world, with a big gab between poor and rich. We had to perform at a fancy gala of a bank. But the most impressive was that we could give a concert for a large group of underprivileged children. They had never heard classical music before and were very impressed and enthusiast. After the concert there was a rush on us as if we were pop-stars and we had to give signatures. The children were so grateful, I will never forget this."
